I am again so frustrated at what school failed to teach me. I attended the University of Washington school of law. In the property law class we learned of eminent domain, yet not ONE word was mentioned about whose land was usually taken. In hind sight I guess that should have been obvious, but I was younger and too naive, I guess.

In regards to public transit and blocking certain people's movement: there is a desperate need for some kind of light rail/train to get from Portland (Multnomah county Oregon) to Vancouver (Clark county WA) and one of the concerns is/was that people would come over (from Portland) to commit crime in Vancouver!! Just the ignorance of that is horrifying not to mention the assumption that folks in Portland were more criminal than the folks in Vancouver/Clark County. EGAD

Thank you for yet another sad but enlightening introduction. I look forward to Professor Archer's latest (?) book.
